Happy 2019 to everybody!!
During the period 2005-2015 I was working, from time to time, in my metal project CAUTIVA. Initially the idea was to record by myself some demo stuff to create a band in Granada, but the project quickly turn into the concept “one-man band”, that is to say, one guy composing and recording all the music with minimum (or zero) external help. I thought this would be the best way to achieve the goals I set myself and, with little knowledge and equipment but a lot of will, I began to record part of the stuff I’m most proud of. Though the first two years the direction of the music wasn’t clear, later the style would be very specific: technical and progressive thrash metal. During those years, in additional to other projects, I released for CAUTIVA: a demo of 2 songs (2007), an EP/demo called «Fire, Walk With Me!» (2008), an album which had a rather good reception then («Human», 2009) and a final EP of farewell («The Archangel Of Omega», 2015). With «The Archangel Of Omega» I took CAUTIVA to the highest level I could and I closed the door indefinitely to this project, probably forever…
Today, after a silence of more than one year, I can say that I’m again working in my own music. Though I continue with my idea of making electronic music (just I ignored my own music over the last year for a variety of reasons! Fucking bastard! :-P), since a few months ago I began to work in a new extreme metal project. In August and September I was working in the pre-production, sound and essential equipment. Then I began to record some ideas but the recording/mixing project was so complex and hard to work that I had to make a radical decission: though I had a good and powerful computer then, it was impossible to work in a proper way with it, so I had to design a much more powerful computer to be able to arrange properly with the necessary recording procedures. I was lucky to set up the new computer myself, it was nice and I learnt a lot of new things about hardware, little by litte, but the decission of having a new computer for music was really dramatic for me and my time. As much as my equipment is mainly software-based and I have a full-time job, I had to spend a long time installing dozens and dozens of programs, libraries, configurations and so on until to have everything as it was in the previous computer (I needt to load properly my pre-production project to be able to work). I made all this during November, I think, and it was really frustrating to spend so many days in such activity, but the hard work had its reward: I can say now that my computer works 100%, better organized than before and, the most important, arranging perfectly with the recording/mixing project that I’m constructing for it… I hope this new computer is useful for, at least, a good quantity of years! Hahaha!
But let’s return to the important: the music! What can I say about this new “extreme metal project”??? Well, this is the conceptual idea that I have in my head: death metal, very low tuning (Bb), raw sound, Lovecraft universe, ancient cultures, experimentation and bands as Morbid Angel, Nile, Behemoth and all that crazy and wonderful stuff… If it’s suitable and the project moves in the “right” direction for it, I’ll use again the name of CAUTIVA, but I guess that it’ll be rather different and I’ll have to use other name (I’ve got it already! :-). Time will pronounce!

I’m not in hurry with this project and I work in it when I feel like it, from time to time, but I hope to be constant and to get results!
Well… It was a long time that I didn’t write anything here and I had some things to say. It was nice. I hope to continue writing more posts here and working a bit in other electronic ideas that I have in mind.
