Greetings!
It’s been such a long time since I last wrote here! It seems I can only manage one post a year! Hahaha! But I hope this changes in the coming months and that I can start being more active with my music again. In fact, a few months ago I (slightly) began working on it, and now there’s new music: the song “I Am The Omega”, from Cautiva.
Yes, last month I released new music for my progressive and technical thrash metal project. On this occasion, just a digital single with one track, but it’s special for two reasons. First, because it’s a track I originally started back in 2018 and then left unfinished for a few years — so finishing it was a real obligation (and a celebration for me! 🙂 ). And second, because this track is the final and definitive farewell to Cautiva. With this song, “I Am The Omega”, I’m closing not just a period, but an era in my music. The idea is to close certain things in my life in order to start new projects and new paths!

On a different note, with the arrival of 2022 I promised myself to make an effort to pick up music again. Sometimes it’s difficult because I don’t have enough time, and other times I just don’t find the motivation. But I decided to start by finishing what I began 🙂 in 2018 with Cautiva, and then to release some compilations during the rest of 2022. First step: I gave my best to complete the Cautiva track, and I’m happy with the result and the effort. Now, second step: it’s time to work on the compilations I had in mind. The idea, again, is to close a big period in my musical life (an era) and to begin something new. In fact, there is a third step in mind: the new beginning — ambient and experimental music, starting at the end of this year.
If all goes as planned, this summer I’ll start releasing my compilations. Right now I think there will be four:
-A compilation dedicated to Cautiva.
-A compilation dedicated to my electronic period of the last years.
-A big compilation of all my music, from the 1990s to 2022.
-A compilation dedicated to my most ambient and drone music. This will serve as a bridge to my future project of recording ambient and experimental music.
aybe you think that’s too many compilations, but I know very well why I want to do this. It will all make more sense once 2022 is over and 2023 begins.
Next date I have in mind: June 22nd. A special date for sure!
Best wishes, and Peace for Ukraine and the rest of the world!
