YESSS!!! After a few of years waiting, finally we have a new CAUTIVA song! Its name is «A Story Of Life, Love And Death» and you can listen it in the Independent Tracks section or directly download it here!.

When I decided in February of this year -after a silence of two years- to restart my music, I thought that the best option would be to finish the chapter that I tried to start in summer of 2012. Then I wanted to create some new tracks for Cautiva, but I was needing a rest after the strong activity of the previous years and after a month trying to do something in production and pre-recording with Cautiva, the things weren’t going like I wished and I decided to give up and not to think about music in a long time. Frankly speaking, nowadays my musical curiosity is going in a direction completely different to Cautiva, metal and what both things represent, but I strongly feel the need to finish what I began two years ago… To do something more for Cautiva beyond «Human», trying to make some new songs in the same style and concept, the best songs I could… maybe two, three songs… And if everything is going properly, to make an EP with all it. That was the idea then, and that’s the idea now!

«A Story Of Life, Love And Death» is the first one of this new group of songs. It’s a long and difficult piece, hard to understand in some aspects I believe, but I’ve tried my best to every detail and I’m satisfied with the final result 🙂 You’ll find the usual elements of Cautiva: thrash, technic, complex structures, constant changes, wrath, screams, frenetic solos, curtness… I think it captures the essence of this project and, if you enjoy with the «Human» album, you’ll enjoy this too.

It’s been a titanic effort to make this piece, because I’ve had to work never-ending hours in production trying to find and capture the CAUTIVA sound I’ve wanted for these new recordings, I had to practice again with my guitar (more than a year not playing at all!), I had to deal with some problems with hardware and -later- software, a strong throat infection attacked me just when I began to record the vocals (the final process in my recordings for Cautiva)… Wow, the very hardest experience I remember creating music! Hahaha! It’s been really awful!

Listen it and tell me what you think. I hope you like!

If you want more details about the song, you can have a look to the «Works» files.

I suppose that at the end of October I’ll begin to work in a second song. Wish me luck!

Health,
