10 years anniversary edition of ‘Human’

5th of June. A day as today, but 10 years ago -2009-, it was released the LP «Human», the most important recording that I’ve ever made under the name of CAUTIVA. So, I’ve thought that it would be a good idea to celebrate these 10 years making a new digital release, with a remastered sound and with all the instrumental bonus tracks that I included in a special edition of 2010.

During the past months I didn’t think about it, but in May I realized that «Human» was going to be 10 years old, so I found a perfect moment to dedicate a little time to this work and to make something special as anniversary. First of all, not everybody could listen the instrumental bonus tracks of the CD edition of 2010, so a perfect time to add them as regular release on Bandcamp. On the other hand, for a long time I thought about the idea of trying to remaster this CD. Finally it seems that I found the opportunity, as I dedicated a few of days to work on it. The main problem has been that I have had to work directly not from the final mixes, but the 2009 dirty master files (‘dirty’ because they weren’t a polished or pro work). As a result, my range of action has been very limited and accepting compromises with the sound. Anyway, I have been able to make a clearer and more balanced sound, respecting the concepts I had then, in 2009, and making a bit of restauration.
