After finishing the new remaster of «Human» (LP, 2009) and facing a compilation of CAUTIVA that I want to release the next year, I thought that it would be a good moment to continue directly with the remaster of «The Archangel Of Omega» (EP, 2015), as much as some stuff that I would like to rescue from «Fire, Walk With Me!» (EP, 2008). The idea is for my new metal project finally to go to CAUTIVA, to release in 2020 a new mini-LP and to finish the year with a compilation of the new and the old stuff. Concerning my new metal project, for a time I was thinking about the option of using a different name -I AM THE OMEGA- and to direct the music to a different stuff -less progressive/technical, more fast and extreme, inspired by bands like Nile, Morbid Angel or Behemoth and including passages with additional exotic instruments and atmospheres-, but after a long reflection I finally concluded that the best is to direct the new music to CAUTIVA. I’ll maintain some of the aspects written before, but in a lower dose, connecting a heavier sound and new ideas with the concept of CAUTIVA. I think this is a good balance.
Returning to the new remaster of «The Archangel Of Omega», you can find it in Bandcamp. The new master brings a punchier sound of guitar and a better balance among instruments. By the way, actually download for free: I have decided to put in Bandcamp all my stuff to 0 USD/EUR! 🙂
And what about my new recordings, I have begun again to work in my new metal recordings (the new CAUTIVA stuff) and I hope to finish the first track for August. A few months ago I shared some excerpts from it. The important thing now is that I have finished at 95% all the production and engineering for the rhythmic guitars, bass and drums, I’m actually in vacation and I can concentrate on composing and recording. I’m very very happy with the sound. It has been reaaaaallllyyyy hard to obtain the sound that I looked for, it has been a crazy ton of days and hours, but I got it and I do believe is a great metal sound! Really heavy, dark and savage, but clean. I hope you like it too!
