Hello out there!
I’m happy to be able to say that I’m active again with my music. For about two years different reasons have made that I hardly spend time on my own music: initially the months that I spent designing and constructing my actual studio, but later lack of time because my full-time job, loss of interest in musical creation, some health problems… The important thing is that in August I began to work again in a metal project… Very very slowly and with constant interruptions, but little by little I began to have again interest in creating music. In January and Februay I shared two samples of the music that I was making then for this new metal project. Today I can say that in the next month I’ll release a new EP, not metal stuff, but connected to my electronic music projects… Let’s explain a bit:
In February I had to stop all activity to concentrate in my job for a few of weeks. When I wanted to return to my own music in March, I decided to spend a time with my electronic projects, not the metal project. What started out as a simple ambient study ended up being a long and complex track of more than 15 minutes, with a very «Navigator» or «Lost In Blue» flavour. I was satisfied with what I was recording and I thought that, after all this creative silence, it would be good idea to use this stuff to release a single, mini-album or something like that.
The EP will be called «Spirit». Everything is finished and it’ll be released on 1st of May. Great!
There will be new and old stuff. Only two tracks:
1. Spirit (new electronic ambient track, the main stuff)
2. Orbiting TRAPPIST-1 (2019 remix)
I wanted to remix «TRAPPIST-1» because when I recorded it, it was a fast work and I wasn’t satisfied with the mix (I worked then in a very bad environment and I wasn’t right about the mix). My new mix is not perfect, probably too much massive, but I have been able to make a much better result. Now it’s possible to listen some details which were buried in the original mix. This was a pending work since 2017 and I’m happy for closing it.
The EP will be released on Bandcamp. More info here and there on 1st of May.
