Hello out there!
I’m happy to say that I’m active again with my music. For about two years, different reasons have kept me from spending time on my own work: first, the months I spent designing and building my current studio, but later also lack of time because of my full-time job, loss of interest in creating music, some health problems… The important thing is that in August I started working again on a metal project. Very, very slowly and with constant interruptions, but little by little I began to regain interest in creating music. In January and February I shared two samples of the music I was working on for this new metal project. Today I can say that next month I’ll release a new EP—not metal, but connected to my electronic music projects. Let me explain a bit:
n February I had to stop all activity to focus on my job for a few weeks. When I wanted to return to my own music in March, I decided to spend some time on my electronic projects instead of the metal one. What started as a simple ambient study ended up becoming a long and complex track of more than 15 minutes, with a strong «Navigator» or «Lost In Blue» flavour. I was satisfied with what I recorded and thought that, after all this creative silence, it would be a good idea to use this material to release a single, mini-album, or something similar.
The EP will be called «Spirit». Everything is finished, and it will be released on May 1st. Great!
There will be both new and old material. Only two tracks:
1. Spirit (new electronic ambient track, the main piece)
2. Orbiting TRAPPIST-1 (2019 remix)
I wanted to remix «TRAPPIST-1» because when I recorded it, it was a rushed job and I wasn’t satisfied with the mix (at that time I worked in a very bad environment and I wasn’t confident about it). My new mix isn’t perfect—probably a bit too massive—but I was able to achieve a much better result. Now you can hear details that were buried in the original mix. This was a pending task since 2017, and I’m happy to finally close it.
The EP will be released on Bandcamp. More info here and there on May 1st.
