Hello, friends!
In May, with the release of my last work for Cautiva (the digital single «I Am»), I shared my interest in releasing some compilations during the rest of the year as a way of closing periods in my musical life and, maybe, starting a new period in 2023… Today I want to update you on the state of all these compilations I mentioned in that month:
1. The compilation of my electronic period from recent years. It was finished, and released on June 22nd, 2022 —a special date for sure! All the music was newly remastered, and I included a new track that I had been sharing here during the last year. Title of the compilation: «The Electronic Years – 2016-2020». Good reception! Thanks!
2. The compilation dedicated to my thrash metal project CAUTIVA is finished and will be released on August 28th, 2022! Again, the music has been remastered from the originals (except for the most recent song). As an additional track I added my unfinished demo track from 2012 (shared on this website under the title of «OBEY!!» for 10 years). 3. “A big compilation of all my music, from the 1990s to 2022”. Not much done yet, but it will be a digital box divided into 4 parts or discs: Earth, Fire, Air and Water. Each part/element will be dedicated to one of my musical sides. For example, Air will be very close to my electronic compilation of July, and Fire will be directly my current Cautiva compilation «Songs Of Love, Hate And Death». Earth will be dedicated to my most deeply emotional music (romanticism and so on), and Water, which is constantly changing its state, to my “strange musics”. I think it’s an interesting idea and this big compilation will be released around November.
4. Finally, “a compilation dedicated to my most ambient and drone music”. I have some ideas, but this work would be a connection with my possible future music (ambient music) and I’ll only start to work in it if I finally decide to enter that period in my musical life. That’s what I currently have in mind, but I also don’t rule out starting other possible non-musical projects that might interest me more, and eventually leaving aside or postponing “the ambient and music path”. Time will tell!
